The Glenavy Development Partnership organise a number of events for members of our community throughout the year.
This includes seasonal events with celebration of Christmas with a switching on of the lights ceremony and arrival of Santa to distribute presents. A traditional Christmas Carol Service also takes place.
We also organise events for specific groups including an annual party for older people and awareness events on important issues including alcohol and drugs for younger people.
Each year during June we host a Festival Week with a range of events where the community can come together to celebrate life in Glenavy.
The Annual General Meeting of the Glenavy Development Partnership takes place around October each year. This year it was held on Wednesday October 20th 2010 in the Methodist hall, Main Street Glenavy.
Drugs Awareness Seminar: We will continue to address the need for awareness of
drugs in our community.

Exploring Religious Beliefs and Cultural Perceptions: How much do you know about others in this community? This is your chance to find out.
