The Glenavy Development Partnership is a cross-community organisation of people from the village of Glenavy and the surrounding countryside who have come together to improve their locality. Our motto is "Your community working together". This website provides information on the activities of the activities of the Partnership and gives an introduction to Glenavy, a village in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Senior Citizens Lunch
The annual Senior Citizens lunch was held on Saturday 4 February 2012 in the Methodist Hall, Glenavy. The event was well attended with food. music and prizes for all.
Glenavy Christmas Events
Christmas events held in December 2011 included the annual switching on of the lights, the Community Carol Service and a christmas holiday quiz.
Festival Week 2012
Plans for the Glenavy Development Partnership's 35th Annual Festival are well underway with arrangements being put in place for what promises to be an exceptional series of events. Look out locally for details of coming events.
Vision For Glenavy
A strategic vision for Glenavy has been developed by Paul Hogarth Associates following a local workshop. The vision outlines a range of initiatives to improve and develop Glenavy and brings together many suggestions for improvement previously raised within the community.
